Dubship AR app for iPhone and iPad

This Augmented Reality artwork brings the sculpture Dubship I - Black Starliner in virtual form to Ghana, the land of the Black Star. If you’re using this app, you may be in Black Star Gate in Accra, a monument to Ghana’s independence and Kwame Nkrumah’s inspiration in their fight for autonomy: Marcus Garvey and his Black Star Line. Or you might be at Savannah Centre for Contemporary Art in Tamale, at the exhibition Dig Where You Stand. Either way, once you’ve downloaded and opened the app, point it at the magnificent large-scale poster made in collaboration with comic book artist Loyiso Mkize, and you should see a 3D model of the Dubship emerge.
